- Kiddy Paint :: Does Kiddy Paint require installation?
-
Kiddy Paint does not require installation. Kiddy Paint is a single executable file. Simply double click on the file icon to start the application. You are advised to place the app into a folder of it's own as this is where pictures will be saved. If you are using Windows 7 or Vista then do not create this folder in the 'program files' folder which is where an application will usually install itself. For ease of use you could create a shortcut to the application and place it on your desktop.
- Kiddy Paint :: Where are my pictures saved?
To simplify the software all pictures are saved into the directory or folder where the actual application resides on your computer. When you download Kiddy Paint you are advised to create a new folder on your hard drive just for the Kiddy Paint application. The pictures your child creates in the application will be saved into this folder.
- Kiddy Paint :: Can Kiddy Paint open and view pictures it has previously saved?
-
Once you have saved a picture in Kiddy Paint you cannot open it in the app at a later date to view it. Kiddy Paint Version 1.1 onwards saves pictures in the Windows JPEG format and pictures can be viewed in 'Windows Picture Viewer' simply be double clicking on them in 'Windows Explorer'. Please note that Kiddy Paint Version 1.0 saves pictures in the Windows BMP format which are larger in size than some other picture file formats and are not compressed.
- Kiddy Paint :: I use Windows 7 or Vista, why can I not find my saved pictures in the Kiddy Paint folder?
-
If you are using Windows 7 or Vista then it is very important that you DO NOT create a folder for Kiddy Paint in the 'program files' folder on your computer. As a security measure Windows 7 and Vista do not allow data files to be saved to this folder. As Kiddy Paint saves pictures to the folder where the application resides you should place the app in a folder in another location on your hard drive, preferably your documents folder or in the root of the hard drive.
